I have experience in writing press releases, marketing copy, donation appeals, grant narratives, and news articles. I also served as Senior Editor and Contributor for the 2022 and 2023 editions of the 60+ page Vail Dance Magazine program book. Below are highlighted samples of my recent work.

Everyday citizens and neighbors of the Vail Valley are invited to become part of a large cast of dancers coming together in the local premiere of “Rhapsody,” a dance work choreographed by award-winning New York-based choreographer Larry Keigwin, artistic director of KEIGWIN + COMPANY.

In addition to serving as Senior Editor for the 2023 edition of the Vail Dance Magazine, I aslo contributed three feature articles including “From Coast to Coast” (pg. 24) about the Festival appearances of the Martha Graham Dance Company, Music from the Sole, BalletX and others, “Moving Towards Discovery” (pg. 54) about new works and commissions, and “Up Close with Genius” (pg. 58) about special Festival programing honoring George Balanchine.

In addition to serving as Senior Editor for the 2022 edition of Vail Dance Magazine, I also wrote the Welcome Letter (pg. 15) on behalf of Festival leadership as well as three feature articles including “In Good Company” (pg. 28) about the Vail debuts of Limón Dance Company, Ephrat Asherie Dance, and DanceAspen, “An Everlasting Legacy” (pg. 58) about the Festival’s first named endowment to support classical ballet programming, and “Take a Chance on Me” (pg. 30) about two success stories of former Festival interns.

Familiar faces from summers in Vail take the stage of New York City Center at the acclaimed Fall for Dance Festival in three Vail Dance Festival commissioned works. The New York dance festival, which began last week and continues through Oct. 24, launched the post-lockdown re-opening of City Center for live performances in five unique programs—each featuring three different groups of artists and companies.

The 32nd season of the Vail Dance Festival concludes tomorrow night after a triumphant return to in-person performances following the unprecedented disruption to live performing arts during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Festival’s successful return to the Vail Valley over the last 11 days saw sold out crowds, vibrant Dancing in the Streets performances, energetic master classes, lively social events and more.

Returning to the Festival after nearly a decade, New York City Ballet MOVES will present a program of two classics by Jerome Robbins and George Balanchine, followed by a contemporary masterwork by Alexei Ratmansky. Launched at the 2011 Vail Dance Festival, MOVES is the dynamic touring arm of the world-famous New York City Ballet with a specialty in showcasing chamber works from their legendary and history-making repertory.

Philadelphia’s cutting-edge contemporary ballet company, BalletX, returns to the Valley as Company-in-Residence for the 32nd season of the Vail Dance Festival, going on now through Aug. 9. A Festival favorite since their first appearance in Vail in 2012, the megawatt company will present two evenings of performances this week in Vail and Avon.
